See what we are currently vibing on and maybe get a little inspiration for yourself!

Today marked the first time I heard birds singing just beyond my window in celebration of the coming season. After endless snowfall here in Pennsylvania, today was a warm 51 degrees. I had the windows down and the volume up while driving to and fro from my errands. I looked out into my barren snow-covered woods and pictured it covered in green. Transformation is in the air and I am nearly ready for my debut! - Abigail

It’s 80 degrees here in the Bay Area and I have been living as my own personal swamp for a few days now. It is currently deep summer in San Francisco. This is after weeks of wearing heated socks and curling up in a thousand blankets. I need some semblance of seasons…even if I just live vicariously through Abbey and our marketing content. - Nicole

In honor of a new season, your Boundless Guides have put together a little list of love…

Listening

Pastel Blues by Nina Simone

My husband is a home audio enthusiast and I reap the benefits. My favorite album from his most recent procurements is Nina Simon’s Pastel Blues. If you watched Lovecraft County, you’ll recognize Sinnerman. The entire album is exceptional. So emotional. Her voice is simultaneously silk and graphene. You can feel her essence escape through the speakers, as if she stands in the room with you. - NB

Reading

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

Buy it today from your favorite local book shop! We are currently reading this in tandem. It’s a 12-week program designed to unleash your creativity. We all have the power to create because we, ourselves, are creations. This book is for everyone whether you think yourself an artist or not. Turns out, everyone is an artist! We love the introspective questions and weekly tasks, they are playful, fun and don’t feel like a burden or homework. The Morning Pages and weekly Artist Date have uncovered a side in us that leaves no room for our inner critic. It is a safe time and space to nurture our inner child and artistic expression. So far, we give this book 4 out of 5 bookworms! - AD & NB

Watching

Cursed on Netflix

I needed something to binge while my husband was traveling for work. Whenever he’s gone, I get to catch up on my fantasy and romance tv. I was expecting this to be a garbage teeny-bopper show like Winx (which was TERRIBLE but I watched the whole series). However, I was caught off guard by the decent CGI, the recognizable actors (like Ólafur Darri Ólafsson from True Detective), and a badass female main character who’s wicked with a sword. The intro is even amazing! It’s like a cross between James Bond and True Detective. The story itself is a blend of fairies, king author, and Lord of the Rings. It’s worth a watch! - AD

Reveling

Snow days

Don’t get me wrong, I’m over the snow. But this was the first winter in years that we had a decent snowfall and I enjoyed every moment of it, and so did Buckley. - AD

Savoring

Bread Pudding Recipe from Cook’s Illustrated

This is my baking bible. I don’t use these recipes exclusively, but as a reference. I loved the show when it was on PBS. As usual, the recipe came out delish. Just added a lil dark chocolate and used a loaf of Polish coffee cake from a great Polish bakery in Toledo, OH.

Shopping

Doing

Queen & Slim at the drive-in movie theatre

If you’re in the Bay Area and looking to celebrate a special occasion - even if that’s just staring at a screen that isn’t inside your home - the Fort Mason Flix drive-in film fest is so worth it!

I buzzed with anticipation the week leading to our movie night. Beforehand, we procured movie snacks and a delicious car-friendly deal from some local spots between our apartment and Fort Mason. This was a particularly perfect film to watch at a drive-in, as much of it takes place on the road. No spoilers - that’s all I’ll say! -NB

Creating

PXL_20210210_021053266.jpg

Watercolor Classes

I was recently hired to teach watercolor classes for mindfulness at a local law school and in preparation created loads of watercolor artwork. It was wonderful to live in that world again.

I filmed the creation of each piece beforehand because Abigail and I have big plans for some inspiring video content for you all! Super excited to be getting those ducks in a row. Stay tuned! - NB
